[ Around five minutes after you wake up, there's a quiet knock on the door to your chambers. When you do come around to open the door (whenever that is; this messenger is Very Patient), you'll find one of the fiery sun lions of Eriskay sitting on the marble floor, peering up at you with an enveloped gently held in its mouth. It bears the seal of its kingdom.
Said messenger will respectfully leave once you've taken the envelope. The note inside is written in Oberon's own hand. ]
Good day, Lady Bostova. I hope that you are willing to indulge me and join me for lunch. Once you are ready, this letter will show you the way.
[ As soon as you're done reading the thing, it'll start to try to tug itself out of your hands of its own volition. The moment you release it, it'll change into a butterfly made of fiery blades.
[ She isn't expecting to see the sun lion when she opens the door of her room (still only in just her underwear and messy hair). She also wasn't expecting lunch with Oberon today, but that makes her smile.
She checks the time to see it's close to lunchtime anyway. Still, she moves at her own pace as she freshens up and dresses as nice as she could (which, let's face it, also equates to being battle-ready, because this is Yulia we're talking about). When she's done, she opens the door and waves for the fiery blade butterfly to lead the way.
If she's looking forward for this lunch, it doesn't show in the way she moves. ]
[ The butterfly will end up leading her to a very nice inner garden. Oberon has already arranged himself in front of a rather large table with a considerable number of dishes. Every single thing on that table looks good.
Standing up once you come around, and dipping his head in greeting. ]
My lady.
[ That slight upward turn of his lips may tell you that he is satisfied by what you have chosen to wear. ]
[ She's pleased that he is pleased by her presence wardrobe choice. That she totally did not ask Brianna for help with at all. ]
Lord Oberon.
[ She smiles back and nods back at him; she's still not the best Whisperer around, alright? Some things still need work. Being that "proper lady" is still very much a work in progress. ]
It was a pleasant surprise to wake up to your invitation. I am honored. [ And so totally fucking excited, holy shit, lunch with Oberon and potentially beginning her personal training with him. ]
[ She is a little distracted by all the dishes suddenly arranging themselves helpfully in front of her (she can't choose which she wants to start on, either, they're all so appetizing, and would it be rude if she took all of it..?). ]
The Hunt, correct? [ She's still proud of that one. 255 tokens from 255 creatures in the forests of Eriskay, 25 more than the deal. She wasn't sure if she would reach the number in time, since she'd fallen asleep for most of one day after she'd fought the Kraken, but... Sometimes, she amazed even herself. ]
It was... challenging. [ Anyone who knows her well enough would know that for Yulia, challenging is the next best thing to an orgasm. ] There were setbacks, of course, but I enjoyed myself.
The giants who live in your forests surprised me, though. I thought they were out to kill me, but they gave me food and shelter when I needed it. [ And speaking of food, she's helping herself to a lot. ]
Well, [ She starts after swallowing a mouthful of food. ] one of them nearly cut me in half when I was on a tree and he was cutting one down. [ In hindsight, it probably didn't see her on the tree. ] Another one looked at me angrily, but he was the same one that left me food to eat at night.
After that, we kept respectful distance of each other.
[ Nodding, as he recalls his own encounters with the giant folk. He had eviscerated their leaders once: a family who, from youngest to oldest, increased in size and brutality. Cunning, though. ]
They've quite a temper on them, but they check themselves well enough. It is likely that they did not notice you were there.
[ A light smirk. ]
They're not all that smart, but they can be civil in their own way.

[ She smiles, but sits down on the offered seat anyway. Like a proper not!girl. ]

Correct. We have the luxury of time now, and I would like to hear how it was for you.

What made you think that they were out to kill you?
[ Let's start with that. (And yes, go ahead: he eats for taste, so most of the food on this table is really for you.) ]
