[ She doesn't cough or choke on her cigarette, thankfully, but she could feel the blood blooming on the tips of her ears. They threatened to spread to her cheeks.
She opens her mouth to say something, but closes it, frowning. She needed to word her answer... carefully.
She tries again. ]
... I need help sitting up.
[ This way, she doesn't have to do it immediately.
[ Being gentle has nothing to do with Yulia's whimper. Just the smallest movements make her body remember all the aches and pains she's supposed to have, and her shoulder and the long gash along her arm feels like they burned.
But she gets up. She's just not sure if her cheeks are red because of the mere effort of sitting up, or from how fucking gentle (she never imagined) Hikaru could be. ]

[ Her voice is breathless and too quiet, not how she wanted to sound. But at least it gets the message across, and she can focus on ignoring the stabbing pain at her leg for just shifting the tiniest bit to be comfortable. She has to put on a straight face, though, to prove that this was absolutely nothing for him to worry about, that he could just leave her be for the moment. Or at least until they were... rescued.
She only starts unbuttoning her shirt after a bit of stalling (or catching her breath, whichever her excuse was). ]
[He's not watching her, per se. He's busy checking what he can already check while she's still getting ready.
As things stand, though, he isn't bothered by this sort of situation at all. He's fully aware of the way Yulia looks at him, but he's not one to take advantage of that sort of thing. As it stands, the girl will learn to look away from him and invest herself in another cause, or she won't. It was not particularly unhealthy either.
[ Yulia carefully peels her shirt off, then lets it drop to her sides. She closes her eyes and takes a breath-- Calm down, Yulia. Pretend he is ordinary medic. --and exhales.
There are red and purple blotches on various spots on her skin, which makes her wrinkle her nose. ]
Hideous. [ She's muttering under her breath as she touches a red-fading-to-purple splotch on her side. That must have been when that Grendal bastard kicked her-- before she sliced his foot off. Which... actually gives her a better sense of time, if the bruise is only starting to turn purple and blue. ]
[ She jerks away from the touch at first (and clicks her tongue when she feels the sting of pain from the sudden movement), and then relaxes-- tries to, at least. She pulls her good leg up to her chest, hugs it, uses it to anchor herself. ]
[ She nods, trusting his assessment. She rests her head on her knee and closes her eyes, lets her hands rest on her leg. There really wasn't much to do now and wait. No, one more thing-- ]

[ She sighs. She thinks of trying to get him to stop fussing over her, but she doesn't push through. He was way more stubborn than she was; she'll just have to wait this out. ]
